Both spaces, the Di Xia Jie and the entrance corridor of the museum are transit-spaces where people continuously pass by, on their way from a to b. Corridors are the non-places of a museum; as motorways are non-places designated for travel and transit. The access to the installation complex is given by an acoustic scenery: highlighting both the corridor of the Di Xia Jie and the entrance corridor of the museum, there will be announcements, which, although mainly in German, are recognizable as automated navigation instructions. The playback of the instructions is triggered by a >frame analysis< detecting the visitors‘ movements.Monitoring and commenting the traffic of people walking across these spaces, the system adds navigation instructions based on the German topography.
